School Day 4

  • Ms. Jennifer’s Period 4 Grade 11 Chemistry class is cancelled today.
  • Track practice today at 12:30pm for the throwers and jumpers.  Track athletes – if you plan to attend the Zones meet, please see Mr. Toews or Mr. Lockerby TODAY.  The deadline to register your events is this Thursday, May 21.
  • Reminder: There is Math and Science help in room 223 every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch!
  • Happy Vyshyvanka day to all of our Ukrainian staff and students. This day celebrates the traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt as a symbol of unity, cultural resilience, and heritage.
  • Grade 12s: There will be a quick grad meeting tomorrow at 9:25 before the Dragon Boat students leave and then again at 12:20 for those grade 12s that aren’t at dragon boat practice.
  • Ribbon Skirt Club will meet today for the last time this year.
  • Debate club today in the art room
  • Indigenous Youth Leadership students see Ms. Martin to pick up your letter to attend our Grad Sweat.
  • Those interested (past players and new people) in trying out for varsity boys soccer next year, talk to Mr. D’Amico.
  • Those interested in trying out for the hockey team next year – sign up on the whiteboard in the gym.
  • Any Grade 9 girls interested in playing JV Volleyball next school year, see Mr. Toews.
  • Vaping is not allowed anywhere on school property, that includes washrooms. If you’re caught vaping, suspected of vaping or “passing a vape”, expect a minimum 3 day out of school suspension.
  • Our school is a scent-free zone. Please do not spray perfumes or body sprays inside the building. Be respectful and help keep our environment safe for everyone!
  • Please use the sidewalks! You folks are tracking lots of mud into the building by not using the sidewalks, which makes it incredibly difficult for our custodians to clean up all over the school.
  • Personal laptops should not be used by students during school hours and in class.
