“Success is not measured by how far you have to go, but by how far you have come.”

Dear NHS Families, Students and Staff,

Just like that, we have arrived at the final month of another incredible school year.

As we reflect on the 2025-2026 school year, one word continues to stand out: growth.

This year, we focused on our guiding stars of Culture and Community. Together, we worked to create a school where students feel connected, supported, challenged, and valued. Whether it was through learning in the classroom, performances on the stage, competitions on the court and field, leadership opportunities, community partnerships, or simply the relationships built each day in our hallways, we have seen tremendous growth in our students and our school community.

Throughout the year, we encouraged students to be present, take risks, learn from mistakes, and support one another. We have seen resilience, kindness, creativity, and determination in abundance.

As we enter June, our focus shifts to finishing strong.

Finish Strong

The final weeks of the school year are some of the most important.

Learning continues right until the last day of classes, and final exams/assessments provide students with opportunities to demonstrate what they have learned throughout the semester. We encourage all students to:

  • Attend every class and assessment
  • Stay organized and prepared
  • Communicate with teachers if support is needed
  • Maintain healthy routines, including sleep and balance
  • Finish with pride in their efforts and accomplishments

Families play an important role during this time. Your encouragement, support, and partnership help students stay focused and confident as they approach the finish line.

Final Exams / Assessment Days & Provincial Exams

As communicated throughout the year, June assessments and provincial exams are a critical part of student learning.

We thank our families for supporting attendance during these important dates and helping students prioritize their academic commitments.

Celebrating Our Musicians

We are excited to begin June with our Spring Music Concert TONIGHT June 1 from 7:00–8:30 p.m.

This evening is a celebration of the dedication, growth, and talent of our music students. We invite all families and community members to join us as our bands, choirs, and ensembles showcase the results of a year of hard work and practice.

Thank you to our students, staff, and families who continue to support music education at NHS.

June Jam

On June 4, students will participate in June Jam, an afternoon dedicated to celebrating another successful year at NHS.

Events like June Jam remind us that school is about more than academics. They help strengthen relationships, build community, and create lasting memories.

Celebrating the Class of 2026

One of the greatest privileges of working in a high school is watching students grow into young adults ready to begin their next chapter.

To our graduating class:

You have contributed to the culture and spirit of NHS in countless ways. Whether through academics, athletics, arts, leadership, volunteerism, or the simple everyday acts of kindness and perseverance that often go unnoticed, you have helped shape our school community.

As you prepare to leave NHS, remember that your legacy is not only found in what you accomplished, but in how you treated others and the impact you made along the way.

We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to celebrating your achievements.

  • June 24 – Grad Rehearsal (10:00 a.m.) & Niverville Elementary School Visit (9:00 a.m.)
