Dear NHS Families, Students, Staff, and Community,
“The beautiful thing about learning is not simply what we know, it is who we become along the way.”
As another school year comes to a close, it is incredible to reflect on everything we have accomplished together.
When we welcomed students back in September, we introduced a renewed vision for Niverville High School:
Where Everything CLICKS. We empower students to shape their own legacy by inspiring a culture of community, knowledge, and success.
Throughout the year, two guiding stars shaped every decision we made, Culture and Community. They became more than priorities; they became the foundation of who we are as a school.
Looking back now, I believe we have lived that vision together.
Over the past ten months we have watched students discover new passions, overcome challenges, perform on stages, compete on courts and fields, build friendships, lead initiatives, serve others, and grow into remarkable young people. We have celebrated successes both big and small because every step forward matters.
Schools are about so much more than courses and credits. They are places where students discover who they are, where they belong, and how they can make a difference.
Thank you for allowing us the privilege of being part of that journey.
Looking Back on a Year of Growth
This year reminded us that learning takes many different forms.
Sometimes growth looked like achieving a personal best on an assessment.
Sometimes it meant standing on stage for the first time.
Sometimes it was learning to ask for help.
Sometimes it was showing kindness to a classmate who needed it.
Sometimes it was simply having the courage to keep trying.
As educators, we celebrate academic success, but we are equally proud of the perseverance, empathy, resilience, leadership, and character our students demonstrated throughout the year.
Those qualities will serve them long after they leave NHS.
Living Our Mission
Our Community Report highlights the work we committed ourselves to this year: building a culture rooted in respect, empathy, inclusion, belonging, and high expectations, while creating a community where students, staff, families, and community members feel connected through meaningful relationships.
Looking back, we saw this vision come alive every day.
Together we:
- Continued to foster a school culture where students were encouraged to grow academically, socially, and personally.
- Expanded opportunities for student leadership through athletics, fine arts, clubs, Student Leadership Team initiatives, and countless extracurricular activities.
- Celebrated student success while intentionally recognizing the contributions of both students and staff.
- Strengthened partnerships with families through regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and collaborative support.
- Connected students with our broader community through career exploration, performances, athletics, Indigenous learning experiences, community partnerships, and service opportunities.
- Continued building NHS as a place where students are known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Every accomplishment this year belongs to our entire school community.
Thank You for Your Partnership
Throughout every newsletter this year, one message remained constant:
Student success happens best when schools and families work together.
Thank you for trusting us with your children.
Thank you for attending conferences, concerts, athletic events, musicals, graduation activities, and community celebrations.
Thank you for reading our newsletters, asking questions, supporting learning at home, volunteering your time, and believing in what we are trying to accomplish together.
Your partnership has helped create a school where students know they are surrounded by adults who genuinely care about their success.
Congratulations, Class of 2026
To our graduates,
This month we celebrate much more than diplomas.
We celebrate years of learning, friendships, perseverance, laughter, setbacks, accomplishments, and growth.
Every one of you has contributed to the story of NHS in your own unique way.
Some of you led through academics.
Some through athletics.
Some through music, drama, art, student leadership, volunteering, or simply by making those around you feel welcomed and included.
As you leave NHS, remember that your greatest legacy won’t be measured by awards or grades alone.
It will be measured by your character, your kindness, your willingness to serve others, and the positive impact you leave wherever life takes you.
We are incredibly proud of each of you.
Congratulations, Class of 2026.
Celebrating Our Staff
Schools are built by people who believe in young people.
This year we say goodbye to two valued members of our NHS family.
Mr. Oleksii Ganziuk
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion with our students. We are grateful for everything you’ve contributed to our school community and wish you all the very best.
At the same time, we are excited to welcome three new teachers to NHS this fall.
Please join us in welcoming:
- Mr. David Brown – Mathematics & Science
- Mrs. Mallory Fafard – Physical Education & Science
- Mrs. Amy Smith – English Language Arts
We know each of them will help continue the strong culture of learning and belonging that defines NHS.
Summer Matters Too
Summer is much more than a break from school.
It is an opportunity to reconnect as families, recharge, explore new interests, spend time outdoors, volunteer, read, travel, and simply enjoy being together.
We encourage students to continue learning in ways that don’t always involve classrooms.
Read a book.
Learn a new skill.
Try something you’ve never done before.
Spend time with family and friends.
Be curious.
Be kind.
Create memories.
Those experiences help shape who we become just as much as anything we learn at school.
Looking Ahead to September
Although one school year is ending, another is already beginning behind the scenes.
Throughout the summer our staff will be preparing student timetables, welcoming new staff, planning engaging learning experiences, and getting everything ready for another exciting year at NHS.

One Final Reflection
As we reflect on this school year, we don’t think first about report cards, championships, performances, or events, although we celebrated many wonderful accomplishments.
Instead, we think about the conversations in hallways.
The encouragement between classmates.
Teachers staying after school to help students.
Parents volunteering their time.
Educational assistants quietly making a student’s day better.
Students discovering confidence they didn’t know they had.
Those are the moments that define a school.
Those are the moments that make Niverville High School special.
Our Community Report (attached) reminds us that our purpose is to empower students to shape their own legacy by inspiring a culture of community, knowledge, and success. Looking back on this year, I truly believe we have taken another meaningful step toward that vision.
On behalf of our entire staff, thank you for your trust, your encouragement, your partnership, and your belief in our students.
Thank you for helping make Niverville High School a place where everything CLICKS.
We wish every member of our NHS family a safe, restful, and joy-filled summer.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September as we begin another year of learning, growth, and community – together.
Warm regards,
Paul Grosskopf Holly Anderson
