The first day of school is right around the corner and there is excitement and anticipation everywhere! We were really hoping that the school would be ready to tour before opening day but, unfortunately, that just wasn’t possible. Here is some information that we hope will be helpful:
First Day of School
Our school day starts at 9:00 a.m. Upon arrival at school, students are welcome to wander around, explore the school, and connect with teachers and friends. We will meet in the gym at 9:00 a.m. for a brief assembly to officially start the day.
The first day of school will serve as an orientation day for students. They will be given opportunities to find their classes, meet their teachers, and get used to their new school. There will be no timetable changes made on the first day as Mrs. Wiebe will be busy leading various meetings and activities. Students can see her on Thursday or Friday.
A free hot dog lunch will be provided for all students and staff.
Student Drop Off and Parking
Please watch for signs and volunteers who will be helping to direct traffic. Please do not drop students off in the bus loop – this lane is for buses only. Students driving to school can park in the designated spots in the parking lot.
There are no bike racks available yet, so currently there is no way to lock up bikes. Please take that into consideration as you make plans for getting to school.
NHS Community Open House & Meet the Teacher
A community open house will be held on Wednesday, September 11 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This will take place in conjunction with Meet the Teacher Night. Everyone is welcome to come check out the school and meet the staff!
