What an incredible February we had! Our school community was buzzing with activity, and it was truly inspiring to see students engaging, learning, and thriving together. A highlight of our ongoing journey has been the meaningful incorporation of the Mamàhtawisiwin Framework (The Wonder We are Born With) into our own learning. As a school, we are committed to this growth, recognizing that we are all at different stages in the process—and that’s part of the learning adventure!

As we step into March, we’re reminded that Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, March 9th—a sign that longer, brighter evenings are on the way! While we may lose an hour of sleep, the promise of spring’s arrival brings renewed energy and excitement.

February was filled with opportunities for students to explore their passions and talents. Some exciting highlights included:

  • Our Jazz Band performing at a Nighthawks game
  • Grade 11 & 12 students touring Red River College and the University of Manitoba
  • Our basketball teams demonstrating skill and teamwork
  • Our hockey team capping off their inaugural season with a strong effort in the Price Division Quarterfinals against Collège Lorette Collegiate

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff, incredible students, supportive families, and generous volunteers who bring our school to life every day. Your enthusiasm and commitment make all the difference! We can’t wait to see what March has in store.

Stay engaged, stay curious, and let’s make this month another great one!

Highlights for the month of March:

PD Day / Admin Day (no classes) – Tomorrow Friday March 7

Interim Progress Reports – March 10

To keep parents updated on their student’s academic progress, interim progress reports will again be sent home this month. Progress reports will be sent out for those students who are struggling to demonstrate their learning, are showing limited progress, or in cases where the course credit may be in jeopardy if the current rate of progress continues. These reports will be course specific and parents will receive communication directly from the teacher on March 10. Students demonstrating basic, good, very good, or excellent progress will not receive an interim report, but parents may contact teachers at any point to check on their child’s progress. Report cards will be issued again for all students on April 21.
